Obama Daughter Was Hoping for Jonas Brothers, Not Dad
Barack Obama’s two girls didn’t know they were going to see their father on a video screen last night after their mother’s speech to the Democratic convention.
Michelle Obama told a Denver audience this morning that daughter Malia was hoping for more of a heartthrob type of surprise.
“Is it the Jonas Brothers?” Malia asked her mom when told there would be a surprise.
“I said, ‘No, its not the Jonas Brothers,'” Michelle 0bama said. “In the end, she felt Daddy was a decent second choice.”
Obama appeared with vice presidential nominee Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) a day after her dramatic speech to the convention, which featured a cameo appearance by her husband.
Biden gave it a rave review Tuesday, calling it remarkable, eloquent and profound.
The two are discussing economic issues facing working woman at an event that seems to tack into the Obama campaign’s theme that Democrats are more in touch on economic issues than John McCain.
