McCain Ad: Obama Has Big Plans for Your Money

John McCain’s campaign is telling voters that Barack Obama will increase the size of the government to massive proportions on their respective dimes, painting the Illinois senator as a tax-and-spend liberal in a new radio ad.

“Celebrities like to spend their millions. Barack Obama is no different. Only it’s your money he wants to spend,” a narrator says. “Obama’s got plans–big plans–for your money.”

McCain has consistently used several themes to hit Obama in previous ads: taxes, Obama’s purported celebrity status, and his alleged unpreparedness to lead the country. The latest ad builds on those themes to focus on a new one–spending.

Obama would increase the size of the government and the deficit, the ad tells listeners, “piling more debt on the backs of your children and grandchildren.”
