Rasmussen: Obama and McCain Are Tied
Barack Obama and John McCain are tied at 44 percent in the latest Rasmussen tracking poll.
When leaners are included, McCain leads 47 percent to 46 percent. The Republican has not held a lead in any of Rasmussen’s poll since Obama clinched the Democratic nomination in early June.
McCain has gained ground among voters unaffiliated with a party and is now seen as the candidate more trusted on energy issues. Obama is viewed less favorably by voters than he had been in previous polls.
