Mayor Bloomberg to Host Reception for Clinton
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I) will host a welcome-home reception Monday night for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), reports the New York Sun.
The event, at Gracie Mansion, the official mayoral home, will celebrate her presidential run but will not be a fundraiser to help pay off Clinton’s campaign debt.
It could serve as an opportunity to deepen ties between Clinton and New York lawmakers, who face state budget deficits over the next several years, the Sun reports.
