Two Polls Give Mixed Signals of Franken-Coleman Senate Race
One new poll has Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) leading his Democratic challenger Al Franken by double digits, while another has Franken ahead by a statistically insignificant margin.
The SurveyUSA poll has Coleman ahead 52 percent to 39 percent, while a Rasmussen survey has Franken leading 44 percent to 42 percent. The Rasmussen poll has a margin of error of 4.5 percent.
Swing State Project’s James L. is skeptical of the SurveyUSA result since Coleman leads among the youngest bloc of voters, 18-to-34 year olds.
