Obama Removes Surge Criticism From Website
Barack Obama has removed from his website references to his criticism of the U.S. troop surge in Iraq, the New York Daily News reports.
Obama said last year that the surge wasn’t working.
A campaign aide told the Daily News that he’s “not softening his criticism of the surge” and that the website is regularly updated “to reflect changes in current events.”
Obama’s conservative critics are hammering the website changes.
“That’s Barack Obama’s special way of congratulating the troops for the phenomenal progress in Iraq,” wrote Gateway Pundit. “How weak.”
Freedom’s Watch, the conservative advocacy group, sent around the Daily News story to reporters Tuesday morning.
