Grayson sounds gung-ho on Bunning’s seat

A curious couple of graphs in this story about Kentucky Secretary of State and potential Senate candidate Trey Grayson’s (R) fundraiser:

Grayson said Senator Jim Bunning encouraged him to form the exploratory committee, but he also said he “has no plans to run against him right now.” He said that after next month, when Bunning makes a decision about whether or not he will continue to run, Grayson would have a better answer to the question.

“I don’t suspect that (having to run against Bunning) would be a problem,” Grayson said.

So what does that mean?

To some, it will sound like he thinks he could dust Bunning in the primary if it came to that.

To me, it sounds like he might know something we don’t about Bunning’s reelection plans.
