A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows Michelle Obama has a 9 percent lead over Cindy McCain in favorability rating, 48 to 39 percent.

But McCain shows the potential to catch the her rival as 36 percent of respondents expressed no opinion of her, while only 23 percent said the same of Obama.

Obama’s unfavorable rating is also higher than McCain’s, as 29 percent view the former attorney unfavorably while 25 percent hold the same view for the beer distribution heiress.
