Kerry Didn’t Get Heads up on Johnson
Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), a top surrogate for Barack Obama, was defending Obama’s top veep vetter Jim Johnson minutes before the campaign announced it was cutting ties with Johnson, indicating many close to the Obama campaign may not have gotten notice that a decision had been made.
Kerry said only minutes before the Obama campaign announced that Johnson would be stepping down from his post that Johnson is “a very experienced, very discreet, very capable individual who is performing a voluntary function without pay, without any interest.”
