Obama Cancels Trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Barack Obama has canceled the next stop on his campaign due to massive floods in Iowa.
Obama had planned to travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa tomorrow as part of his current two-week economic tour, but his campaign canceled the trip today after speaking with Iowa Gov. Chet Culver (D).
Heavy rains over the weekend have resulted in massive floods in Iowa, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Culver has declared disaster areas in 43 Iowa counties.
The Obama campaign said it did not want any resources diverted from Iowans devastated by the floods.
