Poll: Obama Stronger vs. McCain with Clinton on Ticket
A new Gallup poll shows Barack Obama would be in a better position against John McCain if Hillary Clinton were his running mate.
The poll shows McCain and Obama even in a head-to-head national match up with each polling at 45 percent.
But when Clinton is added to the mix, and without a running mate for McCain, Obama gets a 5 percent bump.
While McCain stands pat at 45 percent, an Obama-Clinton ticket picks up half of the voters left out in a McCain vs. Obama match up giving Obama-Clinton and 50-45 percent edge.
