Rahm Endorses Obama

House Democratic Caucus Chair Rahm Emanuel (Ill.) has endorsed Barack Obama.

Emanuel, architect of the Democratic takeover in the House, stayed neutral throughout the race because of his competing loyalty to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Emanuel was an adviser to the Bill Clinton White House, and shares Illinois political ties with Obama.

The Illinois Congressman’s influence in the party made him one of the most sought endorsements.

Emanuel’s office has confirmed the endorsement to The Briefing Room and will soon issue a statement.
