On to Michigan
The proposal put forward on Michigan adopts what the state Democratic Party leaders put forward, but the committee does punish the state by cutting its delegates in half.
The Michigan proposal puts the number of delegates for Clinton at 69 to Obama’s 59, with each delegate getting half a vote. That brings the vote total to 34.5 for Clinton and 29.5 for Obama.
Don Fowler broke with Clinton, who he supports, by saying he would support the measure.
Harold Ickes appears beyond furious as he is expressing his disgust with the committee’s apparent decision to award the “uncommitted” delegates outright to Obama.
