Obama Won’t Bend on 50-50 Split

Former Rep. and John Edwards campaign manager David Bonior (D-Mich.), arguing in favor of Barack Obama, said the Obama campaign favors splitting the delegates of Michigan, siding against the plan offered by Michigan Democrats and backed by Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.).

The Clinton campaign has yet to speak on the issue, but is not likely to side with a 50-50 split.

That stance, coming after the campaign backed the Florida plan, drew a mix of boos and applause.

Once again on display at the Marriott Wardman Park today — there is some serious distance between the two campaigns.
