Clinton Representative Makes Passionate Plea
Speaking on Sen. Hillary Clinton’s behalf, Florida state Sen. Arthenia Joyner, an African American who represents the Tampa area, began by noting that she had been “incarcerated on a few occasions” while fighting for equality during the Civil Rights movement.
Joyner’s appointment by the Clinton administration seemed puzzling initially, but she is clearly a passionate advocate for voters’ rights.
