Florida’s Case
Florida DNC member John Ausman kicked off proceedings with Florida’s argument to get its delegates seated.
Ausman made clear that the state is not arguing to be fully seating, recognizing that the state broke DNC rules, and said that seating half of the delegates would be acceptable. This is consistent with the reported deal already reached on Florida.
Ausman was both conciliatory and defiant, acknowledging that Florida broke the rules but demanding that the state’s voice be heard.
Florida’s presentation was repeatedly cheered by those in the room.
