Poll: Dole Barely Ahead In Re-Election Race
The race for Senate in North Carolina is shaping up to be a tight one.
The latest SurveyUSA poll shows Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R) ahead of state Sen. Kay Hagan, 50 percent to 46 percent. A Rasmussen poll from earlier this month had Hagan ahead of Dole, 48-47.
Bloggers on Daily Kos are already drawing contrasts between the Dole-Hagan race and the 2006 campaign between then-Sen. George Allen (R-Va.) and Jim Webb, who overcame early deficits to unseat Allen.
