Clinton Wins Kentucky, Lunsford Beats Fischer
Not surprisingly the networks call it for Hillary Clinton as soon as the polls close.
With 16 percent reporting Clinton leads Barack Obama 51 percent to 46 percent, but most of the results that have come in so far are from Louisville where Obama was expected to preform well. Exit poll data indicates Clinton will run strong in the rest of the state.
The Hill’s Sam Youngman has a story up on Clinton’s win.
In Kentucky’s Democratic Senate primary race Bruce Lunsford leads Greg Fischer, 48 percent to 39 percent with 11 percent reporting.
Update 8:20 p.m.: Lunsford has won the Democratic primary and will face Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. The Hill’s Aaron Blake has the story.
