DNC Launches McCainpedia

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) today launched McCainpedia, an online encyclopedia of factoids about John McCain.

The site uses fonts and layout similar to Wikipedia, but does not allow readers to edit content. Wikipedia does not allow readers to edit content on McCain either: while it usually allows readers to contribute, Wikipedia has turned off its “edit” function for entries on presidential candidates. The DNC says it will continue to add content throughout the campaign.

Readers can also see video of McCain taken by DNC staffers who follow the senator on the campaign trail.
