Barr To Run For President As Libertarian
Bob Barr, the former House Republican from Georgia, said Monday that he will run for president as a Libertarian.
Barr made the announcement at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.
Since leaving Congress in 2002, Barr has criticized Republicans for supporting the war in Iraq, warrantless wiretapping, the Patriot Act, and increased spending. He told The Hill last month that he was running to offer a “real choice” to Americans.
