Obama Camp Claiming ‘Limbaugh Effect’ Played Big Role in Indiana

Still waiting on final numbers in Indiana, but even if Obama does not win the result will be close. But the Obama campaign is letting reporters know the state should not have been close.

An email from Obama spokesman Bill Burton claims the “Limbaugh Effect” as a result of Rush’s “operation chaos” gave Hillary Clinton a 7 point bump. Here is the email:

According to the latest exit polling data, 17% of voters in the Indiana primary today said they would vote for John McCain in a Clinton/McCain matchup.

41% of that number is constituted by people who voted Clinton in the primary but also indicated they will vote for McCain in the general election.
