After Pa. Win, Clinton Campaign Makes Push For Donations

Hillary Clinton, fresh off a 9-point victory in Tuesday’s Pennsylvania primary, is asking supporters to help her campaign with donations.

Her campaign, which just sent a fundraising e-mail to supporters, says that her victory has already paid off; she received $2.5 million last night, her best fundraising night yet, according to the New York Post.

Clinton has a long way to go before she matches her rival’s war chest. Barack Obama took in double the amount of money than Clinton did in March ($41 million for Obama to $20 million for Clinton). He also had $20 million more in cash on hand at the start of April.

Read a snippet of Clinton’s e-mail, also posted on her campaign’s blog, below:

This campaign is your campaign, and the victory we celebrated last night is your victory.

Now, thanks to you, the tide is turning in this race. We never stopped believing in one another, never doubted that we could count on each other. You didn’t quit, and when I’m president, I promise I won’t quit on you.

Now with the next critical contests right around the corner, we need your immediate help to build on the hard-earned momentum of our Pennsylvania victory and continue our success all the way to the nomination.
