‘Possible V.P. Candidate’ Jindal To Appear on Tonight Show

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) is being billed by NBC as a possible running mate for John McCain ahead of his appearance on The Tonight Show on Monday.

Jindal, 36, is a former congressman who replaced former Gov. Kathleen Blanco (D) last year. He won 54 percent of the vote in a four-way race, thus avoiding a run-off.

His name hasn’t popped up on McCain’s presumed shortlist, which includes Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R), South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford (R) and former Ohio Rep. Rob Portman (R). But Rush Limbaugh has suggested that McCain should pick Jindal, whom the radio host called “the next Ronald Reagan.”
