Bill Clinton’s Temper Resurfaces

Seemingly stifled since South Carolina, Bill Clinton’s temper is back in the news. As reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, Clinton lost his cool during a meeting with California superdelegates. It happened after one of them brought up the endorsement of former Clinton cabinet official Bill Richardson for Barack Obama.

“Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that,” a red-faced, finger-pointing Clinton erupted.

Clinton went on to complain about the media coverage of his wife and the fairness of the caucus format, which Barack Obama has done well in.

Jonah Goldberg, taking his cue from the Chronicle, blogs that Clinton had a “meltdown.” Abe Greenwald writes that it’s another example of Clinton’s “solipsism.”
