‘Bush-Cheney Alumni Association’ Established
Veterans of the Bush administration may be able to still talk up their glory days through a new online community, the “Bush-Cheney Alumni Association.”
The associaton is open to former members of the administration — including appointees, employees, and interns — who worked for Bush either when he was governor or Texas or while president. Campaign donors and volunteers are also eligible to join the club.
The association “provides a forum in which alumni can stay connected and help build a lasting legacy for President George W. Bush and the Bush-Cheney Administration,” its website said (first highlighted by Amanda Terkel of the liberal blog Think Progress). According to the site, the association will provide news on the former president’s post-White House life, including updates from Bush’s under-construction presidential library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
