Obama Debuts ‘Runway for Change’ Fashion Line

President-elect Barack Obama’s Inaugural Committee announced the “Runway for Change Inaugural Collection” Wednesday, a line of fashion items inspired by Obama and incoming First Lady Michelle.

The collection includes handbags by Diane Von Furstenberg and Tory Burch, t-shirts Zac Posen, Narciso Rodriguez, Donna Karan, Beyonce, Derek Lam, Rachel Roy, Juicy Couture and Gerald Matthews, and a scarf designed by Alexander Wang.

Posen’s t-shirt says “I [Heart] My President,” and an endless scarf that reads “Change.” The t-shirt costs $45, while the scarf is $40.

“These designers have all offered their unique talents and vision to capture the excitement and anticipation around the Inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama,” said inaugural spokesperson Brent Colburn. “We are very thankful for their designs and grateful for their contributions.”
