Star-Struck Motorist Almost Strikes Motorcade
President-elect Barack Obama’s motorcade nearly caused an accident while speeding to this morning’s press conference, according to a pool report Thursday.
As the president-elect’s motorcade headed up Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive, a driver noting the famous passers-by swerved across traffic as she tried to take a picture of the motorcade with her cell phone.
The motorcade, the driver, and traffic appeared to have successfully avoided collision.
According to the pool report, the driver had Alabama license plates and markings for the historically African-American Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
