President-elect Barack Obama will come to Washington in January with the backing of a vast majority of Americans, a new approval poll found Tuesday.
79 percent of Americans told a CNN/Opinion Research poll they approved of the way Obama has handled his transition. 18 percent expressed disapproval.
The poll represents a slight uptick in support for Obama since last month, when 75 percent of Americans told the same poll they approved of Obama’s job performance.
The latest poll, conducted December 1-2, has a three percent margin of error.
