GM chief reportedly resigns before auto annoucement

General Motors CEO Richard Wagoner will resign on the eve of the Obama administration’s announcement on assisting his company, according to multiple reports.

Wagoner, who has led GM for eight years, will depart as the company begins its aggressive restructuring plans while receiving a bridge loan from the federal government.
