Reggie Love: ‘President Obama thinks Coach K’s alright’

President Obama is shrugging off Duke basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski’s comments that the president should be more focused on fixing the economy than making basketball picks.

Obama personal aide Reggie Love, a former forward for the Duke Blue Devils, text messaged Krzyzewski’s wife Thursday to let her know that the coach’s comments were no big deal.

“Though some of the staff was concerned because they have to always be concerned,” Love texted Mrs. Krzyzewski, according to ESPN. “President Obama thinks Coach K’s all right.”

The Duke coach said his remarks were taken out of context when they spurred a minor controversy Wednesday.

“I don’t know why people do that,” he told ESPN. “I mean, a lot of you were here. We were all laughing, and really it was kind of a throwaway line.”
