Obama Heads to Church; White House Coffee Next
President-elect Obama has made his way to a church service at St. John’s Episcopal church in downtown Washington, part of the traditional inaugural schedule for presidents over the year.
Obama and his family have made their way to the historic landmark, known as “the church of the presidents” for the sustained attendance of the commanders-in-chief, who live just a block away across LaFayette Park in the White House. Vice President-elect Biden and his family will also attend the services today.
The church, open since 1816 but currently undergoing renovations, is headed by Rev. Luis Le
