Plouffe Emails Obama Supporters to Boost Stimulus
Obama for America campaign manager David Plouffe sought to make use of the campaign’s vast email list of supporters on Sunday, emailing supporters a video of President Obama seeking support of the stimulus.
“America is facing an urgent and unprecedented challenge,” Plouffe wrote, asking supporters to share the video with friends and family. “The economic crisis requires bold and immediate action.”
“You sent me here because we shared the belief that the ways of Washington needed to change,” Obama said in the video. “So I wanted to report back to you on the progress we’ve made, and where we stand.”
Obama said that while Washington is sometimes slow to act, he assured Americans that he had sought to act swiftly to address the economy with his stimulus plan.
