Blackburn: Media discriminates against conservative women

Republican women face discrimination from a media who will give them no attention, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) asserted Thursday.

Blackburn said that the growing margin for Democrats in women’s party identification is due, in part, to an underexposure of conservative women in the media.

“Many times conservative women do not get the attention in the media that a liberal woman will get,” Blackburn said during an appearance on MSNBC. “And so, there’s a little bit of an inequity there, as far as exposure to the public.”

Blackburn said that the issues of government spending and healthcare would particularly energize conservative women in months to come.
