Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) feels sorry for Louisianans for having to live under the governorship of Bobby Jindal (R).
Boxer lamented Jindal’s decision to reject some elements of the economic stimulus package approved by Congress during a Wednesday morning appearance on “Morning Joe.”
“I’m really sorry for the people of Louisiana,” she said. “What a tragedy it would be that because a politician wants to make some points he says to someone who’s unemployed, ‘sorry.'”
Gov. Jindal delivered the Republican response to President Obama’s speech to a joint-session of Congress last night.
“It’s disingenuous to say they [Republicans] didn’t want to spend money,” Boxer alleged, pointing to how much money the GOP wanted to carve out of the budget for tax cuts. “We want to do something that works, which means investing in jobs, jobs, jobs.”
