Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) was appointed to the GOP’s Senate leadership team today by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.).
Murkowski will serve as counsel to the Senate Republican leader, along with Sens. Judd Gregg (N.H.) and Robert Bennett (Utah).
“Sen. Murkowski has quickly ascended to leadership positions in both our Caucus and in the Senate,” McConnell said upon making the appointment. “She brings sound judgment and a thoughtful perspective to the Senate, and our leadership team looks forward to her wise counsel and guidance.”
