Bloomberg says AF1 photo-op ‘history’

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who was livid when one of the planes in the presidential fleet buzzed the Statue of Liberty for a White House photo-op last week, said the issue is in the past.

After meeting on education reform with President Obama, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Rev. Al Sharpton, Bloomberg was asked about the incident that terrified New Yorkers who still have vivid memories of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

“The planes are long gone in history,” Bloomberg said. “We’ve got to worry about the future. The kids are more important.”
