Former Sen. Kerrey will leave the New School
Former Sen. Bob Kerrey’s (D-Neb.) will not renew his term as president of the New School, the New York Times reported Thursday.
Kerrey, whose time at the New School was marked by frequent confrontations with staff and students at the liberal college in Manhattan, was announced at a board meeting Wednesday night.
Students from the school staged sit-ins several times and a faculty board issued a vote of no confidence late last year.
He will step down as president of the school in July of 2011, when his contract ends.
