House panel to hold hearing on future of media industry

In another sign of the depressing times facing the industry and on the same day that the Pulitzer Prizes were announced, a House panel announced Monday that it will hold a hearing on the future of the media.

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts and Competition is scheduled to convene a hearing Tuesday morning titled, “A New Age for Newspapers: Diversity of Voices, Competition and the Internet.”
