W.H. press briefing en Espanol

A Spanish speaking official is currently at the podium at the White House press briefing, discussing opening relations with Cuba.

This is definitely doesn’t happen very often in White House press briefings. MSNBC’s Norah O’Donnell just said that “no previous administration” has done this.

UPDATE: The Spanish speaking official was Dan Restrepo, a Latin America advisor to Obama.
