Lieberman Thanks Obama, Reid for Support
Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) thanked President-elect Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) along with a number of Senate colleagues for retaining his leadership position in a vote today.
“We had a very open and constructive discussion about my status in the caucus after which my colleagues voted to support a resolution which I believe was fair and forward-leaning,” Lieberman said. “This is the beginning of a new chapter.”
