Schock Thanks HuffPo for Voting Him Hottest Freshman

Rep. Aaron Schock (R-Ill.) thanked Huffington Post readers on Friday for voting him the “Hottest Freshman” of the 111th Congress.

Readers voted on a bipartisan list of lawmakers of both genders this past week, electing Schock, and prompting him to thank readers.

“It’s about time politicians from Illinois were known for something other than bad haircuts or having the ability to walk on water,” the 27-year-old congressman said. “I appreciate this honor, but my real goal is to have a “hot” legislative record on behalf of the people I serve.”

Schock said that while the left-leaning readers on the Huffington Post may not always see eye-to-eye with Schock, a conservative politician, there are issues on which they could both agree.
