Lawmakers Call on Trade Rep to Reverse NAFTA Stance
Members of a group traditionally resistant to free trade agreements called on Ron Kirk, President-elect Obama’s choice for U.S. Trade Representatives, to consider his more free trade-friendly views.
The House Trade Working Group, founded this past Congress to advance more restrictive trade agreements, called on Kirk, the mayor of Dallas, to back off previous support for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
