Hagel, Kucinich, Conyers and Nader to Address Arab American Group
Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) and a cast of more liberal lawmakers and activists are scheduled to address the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee Saturday.
Hagel is scheduled to give the keynote address at the committee’s annual convention in Washington, D.C. Other speakers include Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) and independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader.
The group will award Hagel, an opponent of the Iraq war and outspoken critic of President Bush’s foreign policy, its Outstanding Public Service Award “for his more than forty years of dedicated service to the United States.”
