Speechwriter Recounts Blagojevich Insanity
A speechwriter says that he could serve as a trial witness for Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich (D) ifhe wanted to plead insanity.
Dan Conley, in a post on Salon, recounted his job interview with the governor. Conley recalled how Blagojevich and his posse interviewed him, and how he had Conley write a speech only to use it without permission. A Blagojevich aide eventually offered Conley a job before then giving him the runaround and eventually dropping contact with him, according to Conley’s account.
“I spent weeks wondering what I did wrong … now I wonder … was I supposed to pay to play?” Conley wrote.
