Ill. Woman Drives Dodge Neon Once Owned by Obama
President-elect Barack Obama apparently wasn’t one for fancy cars when he entered the Senate.
His car back then was a 2000 Dodge Neon. He sold the small silver sedan in January 2005, just before he was sworn in as a senator. It’s now owned by Broadview, Ill., resident Natasha Brown, who bought the no-frills car in September 2005 for $5,000 from a used dealership when she was 18, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Even Brown doesn’t consider the car befitting of someone in power.
“I can’t believe the president of the United States would be driving around in a Dodge Neon,” she told the newspaper. “It’s a little girl car.”
