Krugman Wins Nobel Prize for Economics

New York Times columnist and Princeton University professor Paul Krugman has won the Nobel Prize for economics.

The award committee said that Krugman won the prize for his work on international trade patterns. Since becoming a Times columnist in 1999, he has also become known for his persistent criticism of the Bush administration.
