Abrams out, Maddow in at MSNBC
MSNBC announced Wednesday that Air American radio host Rachel Maddow will be hosting a new show on the network starting September 8. The show will air at 9 p.m. following Keith Olbermann.
Maddow’s shot at her own show means the recently launched “Verdict” with Dan Abrams, is on its way out.
Abrams will remain Chief Legal Correspondent for the network and will appear more on Dateline and the Today Show, according to a statement from the network. Abrams called the move “absolutely the right call.”
“The Rachel Maddow Show” will feature Maddow’s take on political news of the day as well as interviews, analysis and stories that the network claims “no other shows in cable news will cover.”
