Edwards Admits Affair

Former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) has admitted that he had an affair with a former worker on his presidential campaign.

Edwards, in an ABC News interview, acknowledged that he lied during his presidential bid about not having an affair with videographer Rielle Hunter. He denied that he was the father of her child, however.

The National Enquirer reported on Edwards and Hunter’s relationship early on in the primary campaign. In recent weeks, the tabloid newspaper ran stories about an alleged late-night visit by Edwards with Hunter at a California hotel.
