Mickelson to Testify on Education Before House Committee
Masters champion Phil Mickelson will go before a House committee Tuesday to push for a greater emphasis on science and math education in the United States.
The professional golfer, at a House Committee on Education and Labor hearing, will talk about Mickelson ExxonMobile Teachers Academy he and his wife, Amy, have started for math and science teachers.
The hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. in the Rayburn House Office Building. The official topic is Innovation in Education through Business and Education STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Partnerships.
For the record, Mickelson finished tied for 19th at last weekend’s British Open.
