Tiger-Watching Thwarted By Storm
Staffers riveted by the sudden death U.S. Open match between Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate were unpleasantly surprised Monday afternoon when the cable suddenly went out — just as Woods putted.
The outage initially befuddled the golf fans; one staffer at the House Recording studio noted that NBC was the only channel that was no longer working.
Eva Malecki, spokesperson for the Architect of the Capitol, however, said that it was “storm-related.”
